Rotors of the Rockies, based in a private hangar at the Rocky Mountain Metro Airport, offers helicopter flight training (recreational and professional certification), helicopter charter services and a variety of sight-seeing and special occasion flight packages. Rotors of the Rockies began operations in 2001 with one helicopter and one pilot. Today, they maintain a fleet of eight helicopters, employ twelve certified flight instructors, and have a hundred active students. Rotors is owned by Mike and Regina Fyola. Mike Fyola is a 10-year veteran of the Denver and Jefferson County Sheriff's Offices and an Army National Guard Chief Warrant Officer and combat veteran.
